Hiya all and so sorry for such a long hiatus, but you know how it is. Looking for work, being bummed out and just staying home bound. However, I try not to let the disappointment of not having a job bring me down so I take alot of pictures. When I mean alot I mean a whole ship load so what I uploaded is only a dent. Will try to finish the rest sometime this week and maybe I'll load up some things that have been on the back burner.

The past year has been a sad one other than not getting a job we lost our beloved baby girl Shadow who would have been 21 years old this year, but I guess it was her time. It was hard, but knowing how long she had lived was a blessing for us. One thing about old cats is they too get senile and boy I was NA all over again. Still she had a good life and that's all that matter to me. When she passed away though I noticed Pepper was kind of off, but after a two months she was back to her old self. I guess because of Tabitha she seemed to be the cheer booster. Not to mention the instigator of play.

Anyhow I hope everyone is doing OK and I'll try my best to keep updated. If not sooner it will be later.

This is my first traditional art that I ever did with a #2 pencil only, which I was surprised with myself in doing.  Reason being is I never did this type of pencil art and not to mention was the first one I drew after so many years of hiatus in drawing anything. BTW was inspired to draw due to Anime.

After discovering Photoshop (with the thanks of a friend at work) it took some time to know how to use it, but following tutorials here on DA I was able to make the next step to coloring my drawings. Mostly Anime, but later I would also use it on my own drawings.
 

Later I was interested in doing space art, however I was so stumped on how to work the layer blending and effects. So of course a fellow deviant artist Casperium had helped me to figure out the ropes.

I really love animated gifs so when I discovered how to create them I was excited.  BTW this is my Tuxedo cat Shadow.

Photography was my dad's passion and I didn't really understood why until now. I tend to get a bit too crazy with my pictures, but when I see something that captures my eye or I want for memory sake I take it. Right now my cats and anything nature is in my viewfinder.

Currently I'm still rusty in a lot of things, but with time I know I'll improve. For now I'm just enjoying what makes me happy and gives me inspiration.  So with that said my story continues.....

Is it me or has the world gone off the deep end.  So much violence, hate and disasters that I needed to divert my attention to something to get my mind off this. 

First off after so many years of using the old version of PS I wanted to try out the newer version to see how much better it is and have to say I'm very impressed.  Now I do take a lot of pictures and even though Nikon has an editor it's not all that easy as PS. Not to mention there are certain tools that helps give my pictures a boost. Another reason of getting the newer version is getting back to practicing my favorite type of art.  Photomanip and Wallpaper design.

Secondly I know that I rarely come here, but I just wanted to let most of you know that I do appreciate the comments, favorites and watches!  So with that said I want to say thank you very much for the support.

After a bumpy 2013 I'm hoping that this year will be fruitful!  My hubby was nice enough to get me a new DC and I'm loving it!  It's a Nikon Coolpix L820 and I'm slowly getting the hang of the settings.  You may see that I use Macro a lot, but it's what I think pops out some selective objects.  I did have a scary moment though!  I dropped it already, but TG it's still working. Lately I've been not in the mood to do any PS, but it'll still be on the back burner.

This deep freeze has been brutal and so I hope some of my friends who share my dilemma are keeping warm! TC!

After being hiatus for so long I figure I load a few pictures to give an update to all my friends and watchers.  I've been kind of bummed with not finding work and stuff that I lost motivation for drawing.  However, taking pictures kind of helps me out of my depression mode. 

I think with Halloween almost here and with the fall colors it too sets a good mood.  Not to mention how my little new family member Tabitha has liven things around here. We adopted her in June around the same month we lost our beloved Tiger.  Shadow on the other hand our eldest cat is showing her age, but still fights on.  With God's blessings! 

Anyhow nothing much to say except I'm doing my best to keep filing those job applications and with the holidays rolling around hopefully something will give.  If not....it'll look like another depressing year.
